Really tough draw for Willie O Connor. Not too easy for Steve Lennon either.

Couple of decent games. If Adrian Lewis turns up him and Whitlock will be interesting.

Mensur Suljovic has withdrawn from this due to family bereavement. Darren Webster takes his place. Forgot all about Webster, was doing great last few years but absolutely nothing this year.

I like Searle, decent player and capable of beating anyone on his day. Does get a little flaky when under pressure though

It's remarkable how well he's doing considering his eyesight is supposed to be really bad

Didn’t know that, why won’t he use specs?

He also throws 32g bombs, no idea how he manages to hit so many trebles.

Gurney beaten first round and is now outside the top ten as he won this even 2 years ago and was defending a lot of money.

Adrian Lewis just beaten first round too, won't help stop his slide down the rankings either.

    Or cut his hair?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,993 ✭✭✭boomdocker

    Unreal standard
Looks like if you are not throwing 100 ave and hitting 45% doubles you're out
poor aul Boris krcamr averaged 107 and hit 40% doubles and still got beat by Michael Smith

Looks like Gurney was the worst performer of the afternoon . seems to have completely lost his form

    Or cut his hair?

His nickname would lose a lot of it's allure without the hair :pac:

I like what I’m seeing with Smith, he’s starting to develop some tenacity and bottle.

He did extremely well to hang with and then dispatch JdS

Yes, did the same agains Anderson earlier
But...the big question still remains,..can he keep his bottle when the pressure is really on at the business end of the tournament
