    Hi all,

We are a Chinese exporter of natural food additives, plant extracts and cosmetic ingredients. We are interested in setting up an Irish business presence in order to serve the Irish and European markets better. If you have experience in the related industries and want to start a joint venture, please PM me. I will be in Dublin from 11th December to 15th December and we can meet up.

I lived in Dublin and educated and worked here for many years before I went back to China.

    Hi Guys,

I'm looking for someone to join my business as a Partner and Director. The successful person will hopefully have some Sales/Marketing experience and some Management experience. Ideally you would have some capital to buy into the company probably €25k-€50k although it can be negotiated and paid in stages. There would be a monthly salary and a year end dividend.

Please, no time wasters or dreamers as I've had plenty...

I am looking for a business partner to work with me on a unique wine retail website that Ireland has yet to see. The website has already been built with an investment of 10K+. This website is for wine lovers and makes it easy for them to purchase regularly off the website. The next stage is planning the marketing strategy and working out exactly how to get out there.

I currently run another business so this partner will need to be able to work full time on this business.

The ideal partner should have knowledge of the wine industry and marketing experience.

    Thank you.

Over the past few months I've researched products with a view to launching a direct sales company. Some of the manufacturers I've spoken to haven't taken their products to market yet due to what they claimed were "uncertain times" and "a dodgy economy", and weren't willing to put the investment into marketing and distribution into the usual retail channels. So they've let the products "sit on the shelf", with a view to releasing them later. However, none of these ticked all the boxes for me and I'm still looking.

So I'm assuming that there are others out there who have created products but haven't commenced distribution yet.

The product range I'm looking for must be consumable, with a likelihood of subsequent purchases.

If anyone is aware of a business or company (no matter what size) that may have a product range that hasn't been taken to market for whatever reason, and can make an introduction, or lead them to this post, I'd be very interested in talking to them. Please PM me.

    Thanks

    Hi there!

I am a Product Analyst with a great startup concept. My experience is in mapping and architecting web applications and conducting detailed & considered market research, clear and energizing presentation skills, a massive attention to detail, thorough & creative interface design and incredible good lucks :p - I am much more than the "ideas men" that come at you every other day. I programme in Ruby, when I do, but I am not very good as of yet, and this project is far too valuable for a novice programmer alone. Here is a thread about what I am looking for in a technical partner. I am willing to pay between €500 and €1500 to mitigate the risk factor for a good developer on a new project. This will produce a minimum useful product that is built in a manner that allows the application to scale and integrate with the rest of the platform as it is developed. The minimum useful product will be a "proof of concept" to attract other developers, funding and/or incubator support.

The concept is provisionally called GigBuddy. If you like live music or other live events like comedy or festivals, you'll be really keen on this concept. The premise is that it is impossible to rate and evaluate live events in the same manner as books, hostels, answers (Q&A sites), people and every other object online. Event listings websites are stuck in the 1990s, with little or crowd-sourced content.

The popular ones are SongKick, Entertainment.ie and last.fm, to name just a tiny minority...

If I am scanning these websites, looking for something to do this weekend, they are relatively useless to me unless I am familiar with a band already. This is because if I want to find out about them I have to go to YouTube, Wikipedia, Google and a variety of other sources to find out if they are any good. But there is a number of simple things that can be done to massively improve the experience of users... which I won't give away yet.

Further, I have figured out an innovative way to gather event data that will blow your mind (and blow away the competition). It is so simple you will wonder why it doesn't exist yet...

What programming language do you code in? What is your level of experience? Have you worked on many other projects? Do you enjoy coding? As a habit, do you look to progamme first or design the interface when beginning a project? Do you hang out with programmers from college or elsewhere or are you self-taught and generally a one-man-band? How much do you value detailed documentation and test driven development?

So contact me if you feel confident in your abilities and would like to be involved in a seriously killer, yet seriously credible Startup.

My philosophy is made up of two points:
    1) Never ask anyone to anything you haven't tried yourself.
    2) Process over Passion.

I understand that if you are a great programmer you get pitches every other day, but this concept is worth an hour of your time at least, guaranteed.

Looking forward to hearing from you (or your programmer friends) soon...

    Hey guys,

Interested in hearing from those with established offline businesses, or promising online start-ups, who could do with working with someone with lots of experience and skills in online marketing - or those interested in expanding out their offering to take advantage of online opportunities (for example, a successful offline business which could also be doing business online).

I have almost a decade's worth of experience in online marketing and e-commerce, and would be interested in working with someone professional, and as eager to succeed as myself.

I would be able to dedicate approx 1-2 days per week at present, but if the idea/prospects were good and we could both benefit, then I could definitely review that.

I have spent 25 years in Japan and am now living and restructuring my life in Dundalk . For the past year 2012~2013 every Friday I'm up at 4:00am . I take my Sushi Lunch Box product to Market Square . I also take my Yaki Soba Noodle to market and each week we sell out. If I was superman I could also sell out my Tonkatsu and Japanese Karaage fried chicken dishes. We are building a small reputation for good authentic tasting dishes . It would be nice to have a small commercial kitchen in the town instead of our HSE approved Mobile Kitchen.

With the IT industry moving into Dundalk and the existing DkIT campus with over 300 Chinese students alone not counting other nationals who like Japanese food, word is slowly getting out that we are on Market Square.

My idea is not to have a restaurant but to supply Supermarkets, Office and of course hit the IT companies with my product. My surf and turf area would cover the Drogheda to Newry corridor .

If I only had a partner with investment funds for a small commercial kitchen and who would go out and get me the sales contracts for Sushi Obento Box ? A new million Euro business would be born .

Ok first of all hello everybody i'm new to boards! I hope i'm posting in the right area, and secondly let me tell you about my plan:

I have an idea to start an phone app / game company, with no cash...that`s right, nothing. :D

Firstly I would like to get some people with the right skills onboard who would like to collaborate and help me build this company. What i'm looking for:
    • People experienced in game / application design for iOS and Android
    • People who are skilled in graphic design eg. Adobe suite, 3D software like Autodesk Maya

    A bit about my background:
I have recently graduated with an degree in business. I am very artistic + technically minded. I have skills in graphic design and iOS / xcode. Basically I have good all-round skills, but the main thing is i'm an entrepreneur. I've been wanting to build a phone app company, but i've realized that trying to do it alone would take forever! So I want to collaborate and build something great with the right people.

The idea is that we get together, share our ideas, then bring them to life.

I'm looking for technically skilled, creative people with seriously messed up imaginations to get in touch, so if any of that sounds fun please comment below or pm me with a quick breakdown of your skills etc! Looking forward to hearing from you :)

    Mod note - post moved

    Hi All,

I'm a qualified Chartered Accountant, with over 15 years experience across a variety of different businesses. I have worked with early stage businesses before- pulling together business plans, budgets and grant applications, and putting key financial structures in place.

Drop me a line if you have a business that needs some input on the financial side of the house. I am more than happy to pass on any knowledge I have in that area of business.

    Cheers
    Brian

    Hi there,

I am looking for a partner to sell 3-D effects printed oil paintings in Ireland.

I recently found a local manufacturer that produces printed oil paintings with impasto textures, or 3-D effects. The subjects in the picture look quite vivid and appear coming out of the canvas. The painting can be mass-produced.

I uploaded some finished 3-D oil paintings onto Flickr. There you will see the whole painting together with one or two pictures showing the 3-D effects of some parts of the painting. I also uploaded thumbnails of some original artworks from the manufacturer’s collection. All these original digital artworks can be used to make the 3-D printed oil painting. Customer-provided artworks can also be used to make the 3-D painting.

    The link is http://www.flickr.com/photos/95878693@N02/.

I am looking for a partner to sell these paintings in Ireland and in the bigger European market. Either via online channel or via conventional distribution/retail channels is fine. Please PM me for more information. Cheers!

This is going to sound like a blind date but I am really looking for someone who is interested in becoming a business partner/business development person who can bring a new start-up online educational company forward which many people say has great potential.

If you are interested or you hear of anyone who would be interested in joining my company as a business partner/co founder or whatever you call it please PM me. I am looking for someone with time, good business experience and is not looking for financial gain now, but when it is successful then they will take a good share in the company. I don't need investment but a (Dragons Den) business partner who can drive us forward.

By the same token if you know of or have experience as a business development person and will look at a low basic pay but is looking at the companies potential for the future please also give me a shout. I am looking for someone with the same passion for the company as I have and is interested in a challenge.

This is more a time then a financial risk. Anyway's enough written and baring my soul!!! Please PM for more info. Here's in hope!!:)

    Hi All,

I am in the process of opening a cafe in Tralee, Co. Kerry with the intention of eventually becoming a small, quaint restaurant and wine-bar. I am about 80% of the way there (I think) but I really need a business partner with experience in the hospitality industry, someone who is enthusiastic and motivated and who is willing to help run it on a daily basis, in a partner capacity. I am not looking for financial investment, I am looking for skills and time, and someone who wants to have their own business.

Please pm me if you are interested and I can provide the full details :)

Have you thought of taking on a franchise? They'd supply the business experience you appear to be looking for.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 717 ✭✭✭TristanPeter

Hi Gloomtastic, thanks for the reply. I know what you mean but for this particular venture a franchise is not really an option due to the specifics of the permission, the venue etc. Also, I don't know if a franchise would suit it to be honest. I'd much prefer to have an individual involved who knows what they are doing, so basically, I provide the turn-key product, my own time, initial capital and in return for a partner's time, expertise etc. he/she would share in any profits (plus a wage once it is taking in money). It's a bit of a Catch 22 to be honest as I am based in Galway primarily. I want to find someone who wants the venture to succeed as much as I do, and in order to do that I am prepared to do whatever is necessary to attract the right person...if that makes sense?!

From the little I know about the business of running a cafe, I would think you are making the right decision.
    Good luck with it, though.
Let us know when you open, so we can support you when in Tralee (although, based on the number of times I get to Tralee, I won't be your biggest coustomer)

If anybody is interested in sourcing products from Korea- let me know.

Korea has a very highly developed export sector and there are lots of latent opportunities for those willing to take a little risk.

I could source any types of products that people are interested in for their business.

From auto-parts to stationary and technologies to clothing materials.
    Anything else in between also..

Korea prides itself on quality over quantity..

Anything you'd like to source.. I can find here (Seoul, Korea)

    PM if interested..

I'm seeking a committed like minded individual to partner with me in an already registered business with products and services ready to go.

My skills deficit is sales and business development and I need to find someone who can compliment the business plan. Financial forecasts are realistic and business has massive opportunity to grow over 3 - 4 year period in the three different key areas that the business will operate

    Hi all,

Looking for possible partners to run a pub guide site. Site is up and running since May 24th and receiving a lot of positive feedback so far. Android app just released and i-phone app coming in a few weeks. The work load is quite tough for one person especially keeping the Facebook and Twitter page up to date. Anyone interested let me know!

    Cheers!
