Bring plenty of money cause that won't be a cheap night

Hard to even look forward to Halloween/Christmas time. Nobody knws what could next week let alone then.
Guess it will be a few Christmas tunes in a pub with food and a few pints

Most of them are/have opened back up but the meal ****e is still in place.

Places still closed(could of forgot 1 or 2)- Phil Grimes, Downes, Woodman, Front Lounge, Sinnotts, Tom Mahars, Mansion, Tap Room, Nickys, Doyles, Kitty Keirnins, Kervicks and Tullys (open for take away only)

So most of the decent places in town are out of reach! Add in Geoffs and Walsh's in Georges Street too. Five months and counting. Doubt they will open anytime in the forseeable future either.

Well it was inevitable. We did well to last this long. There have been a lot of rumours of a cluster in Waterford. The next few days will be interesting.

    **** the schools going back...

The schools going back makes no sense from a covid point of view, never has. It makes great sense from a kids getting a normal childhood and being able to socialise point of view, but I don't get the idea of schools, and third-level opening up in the short-term.

Very concerned about this myself, it's a dangerous experiment

so keep your kids at home and home school them yourself.
it is not mandatory to send kids to a physical school.

Hopefully this forces major changes to our educational system

On a serious note, I'll be waiting out the first few weeks and seeing how things go before sending mine to school. Let someone else play guinea pig with their kids first. The pubs was the place to experiment with that not the classroom.

There's enough human experiments going on with this thing, neither schools or pubs should be used

I know someone who tested positive today after coming back from a foreign holiday a week ago and didn't isolate. Plenty of people in contact with this person.

Ridiculous carry on after us doing so well
