Nice Bohemia model Fred. Were you able to get depron at LHS.

Coolwings, you should try put a collective pitch prop (like what they use on shockflyers (to fly backwards) or helis) in order to produce reverse thrust..brakes..

Attached are pics of the Funtana 90 im slowly building......:)

How do you get your Funtana to fly with no servos inside? ;)

    nice plane :)

If you need depron (for indoor planes or slowfly), Green Hobby in Dublin sell depron in 3mm and 5mm, and get other thicknesses when requested.
I have to say that at the 6mm depron size (.15 engine/speed 600 size planes) I think I would prefer to use balsa instead in my own models, but maybe I'm old fashioned and fooling myself that depron is just for small models.
I was surprised to learn that some modellers in Ireland are using depron for making hulls for model boats. But when you think about it, depron is also quite suitable for sheeting hulls .

The engine is a saito 150, having trouble fitting it as it is a little to large and I want to fit it inverted. When finished it will turn a 17x6 or 17x8 prop. Also would like to add a pipe or pitts muffler to it.....:D

This guy asked me to get him a Currach. But there isn't a kit available.
So I drew the plan from photos, and now there is a kit! :D

Never even thought of posting the pics of my new suspension arms. These things are never gonna break. They're so light and unbelieveably strong.

nice arms and nice buggy :)

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 3,455 Mod ✭✭✭✭coolwings

Very nice, are they duralumin? They certainly look the business and should be a lot stronger.

  • Registered Users Posts: 234 ✭✭ViperGTS

Just extra thick cast aluminium. Seeing the platic ones broke twice in the same spot after slight knocks, they were a necessity

    Look great.
One word of advise though.. :D
Dont get overly ambitious with them thinking that "Yeah... Nothing can happen" ;)

As they are "Possibly?" still connected to Plastic parts of tha buggy.:o
    If you get me meaning.

    Oh I know,
I've not yet start believing that they're gonna withstand a proper thrashing. I can just be a bit more at ease now, lol

Definitely will take more punishment than the normal ones. My son has the alloy wishbones etc. on his T-Maxx and they hold up well. :D

My hpi rush evo this afternoon on it's first bash. Ended up breaking one of the sealed suspension springs, otherwise she ran fine. Pretty fast beast but in traction now until I get me a new spring.
