Oops, I can tell you why I didn't notice that, I saw 21 forecasters in the contest (before Eon1208) and thought, there's 21 regular entrants, but then got distracted and thought it was 21 from two occasionals which must mean 19 regulars, so then I started to think whose names are missing, and came up with two, however, it was actually three occasionals so I should have been looking for three regulars. In any case by the time I went through all that it was the 4th and late penalties by then are almost 50 points.

It's not a crippling blow to anyone's chances in the best ten of twelve, just means you can only discard one instead of two scores now.

MAX and MIN have not made an appearance yet.

PRC was 186% of normal.

I think that 3.1 is lowest so far and stands a chance of remaining to the end.

No real sign of MAX yet, he's been delayed on his travels.

After the second week of July ...

IMT a rather chilly 13.7, the second week average was 13.3, which was 2.1 below normal.

MAX remains undetected, MIN 3.1

PRC now at 155% with the second week average 124% of normal. With no further rainfall this would only guarantee about 70% so a fairly dry outlook could see this down to normal or even into the 90s.

SUN has improved slightly to 69% with this past week at 79% (474/600).

The highest minimum remains 14.8 at the three Park locations.

And that could take some beating.

Maybe Moore Park will beat it or Oak Park.

24C at Phoenix Park will be hard to beat, not many chances of getting temperatures into the 20's between now and the end of the month.

After three weeks of July ...

IMT on 14.0, the third week averaged 14.6 which was 0.9 below normal.

MAX 24.0 and MIN 2.2

PRC now down to 124% with the third week rather dry, 61% of normal.

SUN has improved to 91% thanks to the third week being sunnier for a change, 134.5% (807/600).

The "max min" remains 15.1.

After four weeks ...

IMT on 14.3 with fourth week 15.1 (0.5 below normal). Will finish around 14.5

MAX remains 24.0 and MIN 2.2

PRC back up to 144% with this past week 206%. Should finish around there.

SUN has slipped back to 87% with this past week around 78% (470/600). Should finish around 85%.

The "max min" remains 15.1 but I suspect a higher value may occur tomorrow or Friday.

Will be posting the August contest thread soon.
