    Dropped - When its used in the context of 'the band's new album which dropped on October 9th'

    The use of dates without its accompanying 'th' or similar - Coming to cinemas on April nine.

    Going forward, especially if uttered by a politician.

    I mentioned this in the Trivial Things That Annoy You thread. It really sounds like an attempt to make something sound a lot cooler than it is.

    Three pages in and nobody's mentioned yet the absolute worst...

    "Simple as"

    "End of"

    ...usually used to add particular force to a statement to make it...er...more correct, particularly when the statement itself contains no real argument.

    I also hate the word 'gig' when used in relation to music.

    Pretentious guff.

    Guilty of this.

    Have realised recently and am making efforts to stop it. Very hard once a habit takes hold.

    I use that word all the time but only in relation to;
    1. a light two-wheeled carriage pulled by one horse.

    2. a light, fast, narrow boat adapted for rowing or sailing.

    Probably slightly pedantic of me but in sport

    "They almost won"

    It is a binary choice. You either win or didn't win
