Wierd that metacritic is outta sync with IMDB and RottenTomatoes:

    55 - metacritic:
    7.3/10 - imdb: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1560220/
    75% - rottentomatoes: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/zombieland_double_tap

Gonna need to see a CinemaScore

Not that unusual Metacritic scores always tends to be lower than rottentomatoes.
Metacritic is generally a better indicator imo.
IMDb ratings are from every Tom, dick and Harry.

It's a sequel to a cult film, assuming it doesn't completely sh*t the bed, it's always going to play better with audiences - fans specifically - than critics with less or no emotional skin in the game. Wouldn't say it's a critic proof movie but if you've been waiting 10 years for a sequel, reviews ain't going to put you off at this stage.

Not really. Metacritic is weighted whereas Rotten Tomatoes isn’t. A 75% score on RT simply means 75% of critics gave it some sort of positive review (which can cover a range from ‘alright’ to ‘masterpiece’), whereas 75% on Metacritic means the average (albeit with some vague additional criteria) score was 75%.

As for IMDB - user score unreliable at the best of times, but substantially more so for a film that isn’t out yet ;)

Caught this today - it was pretty enjoyable, though not quite as good as the first. If you liked the first you'll enjoy this, occasionally clunky and unsubtle though it is.

Oddly enough it still has some odd pacing and narrative transition issues that feel adapted from a television pitch.

I do hope that we don't see any further films or attempts at continuation, though - there's not a lot more than can be done with the characters and setting, and that's fine.

Ah ye, looks like it's just the generalised critics

I'm guessing the audience into the type of film like it.

Seen this during the week and really liked it. Was a fan of the first film and this is the rare case of a comedy sequel not being absolute ****e.

It got three laugh out loud moments out of me so I was thoroughly happy with my evenings entertainment. Hadn't heard of Zoey Deutch before seeing this but I thought she was the best thing about it.

I really enjoyed the first one and they really should've left it alone.

Lazy jokes and lazy story. I thought they could've done better.

    Abigail Breslin looks busted now.

Watched this last night and found it quite enjoyable. Some funny moments, particularly from Woody Harrelson, who seemed to be having a ball making this.
