    Morning all,

A point of feedback that has come up repeatedly with respect to A&P is that it can be sometimes quite difficult to find pertinent information, or that certain types of threads dominate the forum, making it difficult to find threads that relate to other issues. After discussion behind the scenes for a while now, we have taken the step of adding thread prefixes to A&P threads to help categorise threads into distinct categories. If used correctly, it should make the A&P forum a far more useful resource - those renting for example, will have the ability to filter results solely down to threads of a similar nature, those letting will be able to do the same.

The prefixes available at the moment are as follows:
    • Promotion
    • Buying
    • Selling
    • Renting
    • Letting
    • House Shares
    • Tenant Rights
    • RTB
    • New Development
    • Area Guide
    • Moving to Ireland
    • Other

These of course, can be updated in the future, should the need to do so exist.

    Great idea.

Would it be worth adding one for management company/agent issues in developments covered by the MUD act?

    RTB?

    Edit:
First thought it might be 'Rent To Buy',
but now it looks like 'Residential Tenancies Board'

Don't like it the colour coding is off putting and don't see how or what problem it solves that a user putting in a little effort with a search won't solve

What about a folder for landlords?

    It's anticipated that:

Letting will generally be landlords questions/threads
Renting will usually be tenants questions/threads

    Same here. Unreadable.

Just use sub forums. Much more usable.

I don't get boards. You have massive forums you won't sub divide. On tiny forums it's destroyed by too many sub forums. When the navigation changed a few years back it destroyed the traffic in many forums.

Gmail is the same. Labels are no substitute for folders.

Was just coming in to post the same thing. It makes the thread titles hard to read

As you have given renting five categories:
    Renting
    Letting
    House Shares
    Tenant Rights
    RTB

    ownership four categories:
    Promotion
    Buying
    Selling
    New Development

    localities two categories:
    Area Guide
    Moving to Ireland

please give the homeless at least one category:
    Homeless

Is there anyway to turn this off?

Is there anyway to turn this off?

On an individual account level, no.
