Irish Designers/Boutiques

    Hi all,

I wanted to know, as I'm living in the UK and am not totally au fait with new names at home, if anyone knows of Irish boutique brands or designers that won't break the bank?

I'm thinking the likes of:https://www.folkster.com/ or similar.

I have a wedding at home coming up in a few weeks and am sick of looking at huge high street brands where pretty much everything looks the same and lacks any individuality, not to mention, I'd prefer to support Irish design.

Ideally they would have an online store.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Sadly "Irish" made/designed and "won't break the bank" don't usually go hand in hand, it's a pity.

Is there anything in particular you're after, a dress, jumpsuit, trousers?

A lot of Irish designers that do evening wear/formal wear seem to focus on an age 40+ customer. Arnotts has lots of Irish brands but tbh I find them all quite samey, draped dresses and jumpsuits https://www.arnotts.ie/women/the-trends/irish-designers/

If you wanted to support an Irish owned business, but not necessarily Irish made product (like Folkster), try https://www.cocoboutique.ie/ https://www.rubyrouge.ie/collections/dresses/AW19 I'm sure others will have some suggestions too!

    Thanks Twee,

Yes sadly, my research was coming up the same.

I'm probably concentrating on dresses, I'd be open to a nice jumpsuit, but I'm only 5"4, so they tend to swamp me.

Will take a look at those online stores, cheers!
