Victorinox Farmer Alox is €22.58 on Amazon.it
https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B000MLQOVG

Shipping is around the €7 mark which takes away from the deal somewhat but still not a bad price. Amazon.co.uk won't ship knives here any more.

Victorinox Hiker is €12.86 also. Throwing one onto the order takes a bit of the sting out of the shipping price. Keep the Alox for yourself and gift the hiker to a son or nephew
https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B0001P151M

Those prices go up a few cent at checkout because Italian VAT is 22% and we're 23%.

Just got an e-mail from Boyds stocks.

They are doing a big sale on rapid fire stocks. Some are over the $100 mark, but there are a lot that are under it and some as low as $40.

Not sure how long it lasts and they say there is only one of each stock so if you're looking something and want to grab it do so quickly.

This is usually once a year they make the stocks usually for shot show and then sell them off rather than restocking them. I got a lovely Blaster for my 10/22 2 years ago for half the normal price 😀

Boyds posted it and you will get hit for import duties, paid $77 instead of $140 think it cost €180 in total including postage and duties to my door but if it was full price they would not have been able to post it.

Is it anything <$100 can be posted from USA without additional paperwork?

As far as I know yes. If it's $100 or over ITTAR kicks in and they need an export licence.
Saying that optics planet sent me a monopod last week that was over the $100 without issue.

Remember that INCLUDES the shipping&handling charges. So get it shipped on the cheapest of the cheap if you are close to the 100 usd mark.
Intrestingly,it doesnt apply to optics or NV equipment .

.
Some companies already pay for export so it's covered regardless of the price. I've done many times with Brownells and other companies. However some companies like Boyds won't pay the export fee.

For a company they can pay a large yearly fee so it's not a case of each sale requiring it's own export license. Some companies pay this fee and will ship internationally, others don't and cannot. Boyds is the latter.

My last order from Brownells USA was over $400. Arrived 10 days after i ordered it. Excellent service.

Another company had an adaptor i wanted for $60. Including shipping it came to $85, but they didn't have the export permit, didn't want the hassle of doing individual ones, so would not ship. Ended up paying twice the amount for an EU supplier.
