Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Bulk 35mm Film?

    Hey guys,

    I've just moved down to Limerick, I've noticed that there's nowhere here that's a dependant/cheap seller of 35mm film. I was considering chipping in with a few friends and buying some film in bulk.

    Does anyone have any store/website recommendations on where to go? Ideally, I'd love to keep my business within Ireland, but UK/Europe would also be preferable!

    I'm not sure if they stock bulk film, but probably the best "analogue" store (brick's n'mortar) is Gunn's in Camden Street. It's a family run business - all of the family are experienced and knowable in photography https://www.johngunn.ie/

    I have no connection with the store, just many fond memories of going in their and just feeling "at home". AFAIK, John is still fronting the store (in his eighties though you would never guess it).

    I always feed the meter when parking on a trip to Gunn's. The time just slips by. And it's alway pleasurable.

    CORRECTION: Just checked their web site: they sell ILFORD HP5 30METRES ROLL for €85.00. I'm pretty sure they can order in other film in bulk if you need it.

    Try calling into the photocentre on William Street, they started doing fillm again, Des should be able to point you in the right direction
