Blepharitis Blephex treatment

    Has anyone had the Blepharitis Blephex treatment? Just wondering if you found it was effective? I'm booked in to have it done next week, I'm a bit dubious about how effective it will be but I'm going to give it a try anyway.

    It appears to have been developed by Scope Ophthalmics who make various blepharitis products. The Blephex treatment itself just looks to be some kind of buffer/drill that they use on your eyelids so not sure how effective it would be and how often it needs to be repeated.

    I recently started using their ointment but haven't heard of this. I see one of the leading eye specialistd I've seen has a testimony in their site so I'd say it's decent enough.

    Just an update on this. I got this done this morning. It was a lot more itchy than I expected and also a tiny bit sore but nothing too bad. It left me with slightly bloodshot eyes but I'm sure that'll pass over the next 24 hours.

    The cost was €70 and the nurse said I would probably need to repeat in 6-8 weeks. I'll report back in that timeframe to describe how I get on, just in case anyone else is curious about how effective it is.

    I can hopefully claim some of that €70 back from my health insurance and hopefully I can offset some more of the cost by not having to buy the various incredibly expensive eye lubricant and wipes I had been using most days.
