Hotel for 2 night relaxing break

    Hi,
I've hit a bit of analysis-paralysis, am looking for hotel in West (living in Galway) for 2 night break. My wife is pregnant, looking for a relaxing break. A pool would be nice (not essential) places for short walks, outside seating in gardens, nice lounging area, nice food.
    • Radisson Sligo
    • Ice House, Ballina
    • Hodson Bay
    • Dunraven Arms
    • Cromleach Lodge
    • Knockranny House
    • Radisson Farmham Estate (not West but great reviews)
    • Mustard Seed, Ballingarry

Any recommendation from above or elsewhere please?
I like the idea of somewhere relaxing but close enough to a town if we want a little bit of life.
    Wineport Lodge is full.

Ice House is meant to be lovely but true to say there's no grounds around it? I like the idea of somewhere where we can go for a stroll. Or are there places nearby it for walking?

Stayed in Radisson Sligo before and liked it, have beach, town nearby.

    Cheers,
    Pa.

    Ballynahinch Castle.

Recently re-opened after a renovation, so I'm assuming it's even lovelier than when I stayed there a few years back.

Utterly, utterly relaxing and beautiful. And some of the best food I've ever eaten.

ETA - just read your post properly. Ballynahinch would fall down on the town-nearby criterion. But you wouldn't want a town it's so beautiful there!

Also, yes, no grounds in the Ice House. Enniscrone is nearby with a fabulous beach though....

Three Connemara hotels. All relaxing, quiet, restful etc. But none are near a town!

I've heard this place is good. Its only a guesthouse really though, there's five or six rooms. Really nice though and its in Clifden.

A larger Hotel just outside CLifden:

Looking at same thing as OP.
Can anyone advise on what knockranny in Westport is like? Looking at going for 2 night with herself. Good spa and pool essential ?

Please do not resurrect old threads.
Recommendations from back then may not be valid anymore, and will just confuse people that think they are current.

Start a fresh thread in Mayo with some details and they will help you.
