HSE and encouraging health and well being

    Briefly, I cycled to Limerick UL Hospital for an appointment and was a bit disappointed with the following;
    - No place to securely park my expensive bicycle near or even far from any of the entrances. Doesn't exactly encourage people to exercise.
    - Vending machines full of sweets, soft drinks and crisps. All the foods the HSE dieticians will discourage you from eating.
    - Retaraunt selling overly processed sugar, fat and salt filled foods especially for breakfast. Sometimes no porridge but a fry up and sugary cereals.

    I admit I do grow and cook my own food and am physically active but I don't see how the HSE, via it's Hospitals, encourages appropriate lifestyle changes.
    Rant over
