Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Yea I'd say it was the back edge of the area of LP being lit up in the evening sun . There was a bit of lift that day but not much, I would think those clouds could be classified as Cumulus Congestus ( lower then Cb's ) and checking the wind charts for that evening shows some shear from stronger upper winds which I think would have lead to the uniform cloud tops, can see some being sheared off.

Looks like a cloud form known as 'Stratocumulus cumulogenitus', though cloud level seem quite low based.
