Is a benzodiazepine prescription valid for 6 months?

I understand that benzodiazepines come under Controlled Drugs Schedule 4 Part 1 and do not have to be dispensed within 14 days of the date of issue indicated on the prescription. How long are they valid for? The full 6 months?

Yes. CD4.1 prescriptions are valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
