    Hi all,

Over the last few months, we have been working on improvements and upgrades to the foundations that Boards is built upon. We are planning to roll out these upgrades in the coming days. In order to go ahead with these necessary backend upgrades, we are forced to disable the no-longer supported White and Boards.ie Beta skins.

These skins have been unsupported for some time and are used by a small percentage of the userbase. Being unsupported typically means that no further development time is dedicated to these skins (which can already be seen from their outdated menus that do not reflect new or closed forums), but this coming upgrade results in major errors on these skins and renders the site unusable for these users.

As a result, we have had to make the decision to disable these skins completely so that we can best utilise development time and resources. This will allow us to push forward with these important backend upgrades and ultimately improve the site as a whole for all users.

We realise that this will be disappointing to the people using these skins, but we would like to hear what you like about the skin you’re using and why you haven’t switched over before. From this, we may be able to make improvements to the default template for the wider community.

If you would like to change your skin in advance, go to your User Control Panel and select Edit Options on the left hand side. Scroll down to the bottom of the page where the skin options are located and select Use Forum Default from the dropdown. You can also choose between the brighter default theme and the dark theme from Appearance Settings.

The White and Boards.ie Beta skins will be disabled on Monday, January 13th. If you are using one of these skins, you will revert to the default forum skin.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
