stayed up until nearly 3.30 last night waiting for "the big event" it looked promising for where i am but it turned out to be very disappointing altogether
Ditto for where I am(Dublin 14, low elevation. A snow trap in bad years). Definite thaw going on. Existing snow contracting, lots of dripping. Quite breezy. More sleet than snow when any falls ATM. Driving conditions slushy more than icy, but still take care folks.

If it does start dropping temps over the next day and the slush freezes. Not fun.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Look at the stream of showers heading into the north east UK atm. http://www.sat24.com/gb Hopefully its a bit of this action, with lower dewpoints, that we will see later.
