Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.
Thanks all.

    Hi,
Considering moving to Kenagh with my partner. We are both in our early 30s and working in Athlone. What is Kenagh like as an area for raising a family? Public transport seems limited in the area?

...but what will it be like when your kids are schooling up to Leaving cert, long bus rides etc. and nowhere for them to go out without parent taxi

    long bus rides?
secondary schools in Ballymahon, lanesboro or Longford town
are teenager meant to be 'going out?'
lack of public transport is a fact of life in rural ireland
