I am new to this and just starting to form a family tree. I have located my maternal great grandparents on 1901/1911 census. However their ages are 15 years apart instead of 10, while their children's ages have the correct 10 year gap. I have found similar with my paternal great grandmother. Anyone know why this could be?

In the 19th century, people didn't pay as much attention to their ages as people do now. The old age pension made a big difference to attitudes.
