Can I play PlayStation 3 Used games with No Dlc

    Hi
    I just bought a 2nd hand ps3 as my ps2 finally died....
    Iv Bought some used games n With the help of people on boards ie.....And sone of the games i bough say they have no DLC... Personally in not that botherd,,,,
    Seen as i will be playing off line in single player platform, And not multi player....

    I bought home front, and Heavy rain....Do they have an ending , thats on the disk i bought...Can i play these games off line ..
    Can I play PlayStation 3 Used games with No Dlc....
    Will the games themselves have a basic campaign , start finish,,,,
    If the endings are left out . i may as well bin them now n before i start playing them...

    Also any one know if you can get ps3 games where the easy level is actually easy....
    i got a game the other day .... And the easy level said..... Daddy can i play....
    And i died at least 5 times in the first bit....
    as the enemies were very accurate and fast....... TO ME THAT IS NOT EASY.....

    So are there any games that the easy is easy....

    I like shooters.... i dont do puzzels , or race against time ... Or trophies....
    I sort of like the old scool simple shoot em up campaigns......

    I know this a long thread,,,, But i eanted to get it all down now

    any help would be much appreciated, on any of the above thanks from Bud...

    DLC is generally additional content for the games (Extra maps/guns/cars etc) so you dont need it to play the game offline.

    In terms of shooters then the Call of Duty range should be perfect, the easy campaigns are easy:

    CEX have a huge range or ps3 games cheap so that should keep you going for a long time :)

    Im a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing...... Im completely isles with computers and technology....And very uncoordinated when it comes to gaming,,,, So a big thanks again for the Heads up...Thats brightened my day up....... :)

    Thanks for the heads up....
    Im in the middle of nowhere hear.....An hr from Limerick or Tralee.... So im goosed...
    Dont get into city much....
    The game i bought the other day was 2 euro online .... So im not going to be loosing loads of money.... :)

    I believe everything in CEX comes with a 24month warranty so yeah hold it until you can get in to town :)

    If You guys didn't think i was mad before , maby this will tip you over the edgen cos it may sound like a stupid obvious question to all you ganers out thair.....
    But do you play the slim ps3 on its side or flat .... I played my ps2 on the flat ....
    so i will do the same with the ps3 ....
    But i know you can stand them on end.....Is thair much, play , were and tear difference.....
    Im still waiting on a PlayStation to scart lead to come in post, As i got an old telly thats only got a scart connection at back....
    Hopefully it wil arrive today and i can turn the beast on.....
    If it does , be prepared for more stupid questions ..... Bud....

    With me i have to ask the dumbest questions first And work my way up to sanity and reason.....Well thats the plan....Dont always get there..
    On 2nd thoughts i will play it on the flat as it served me well with the ps2 and gives a solid base....

    Hey Im not replying to anyone , this is a new question ..
    So Iv tried some of the games that were suggested to me .....
    Homefront........... too fast and to hard just got killed loads .... and that was on easiest level..... Same with cos world at war..... ok until i got to a sniper level.... i only moved a hears breath and was on to and killed instantly.....
    Same with cod modern warfare 4 and moh airborne.................The baddies had killer accuracy................... Binned them all............. My main gripe with game companies is easy level difficulty should be easy......SO .... Dont put easy when its not......
    These games above either bombarded me with relentless enemies, noticed when i moved a millimetre .... Or the enamies were impossibly accurate
    I Loved .........modern warfare bad company... Which i finished and thought was very funny...
    Also
    Spec Ops the line .... Which iv just finished and loved..............Both these games were good and didnt take you all the way back when you got killed .... And gave me enough info and time to work out how not to get too killed next time i tried.....

    So the question............. Are there any games as easy and as good as bad company and spec opps the line................... That i could actually finish and enjoy playing

    There is a Bad Company 2 available if you enjoyed the first one.

    The only way to get better at FPS is to try and try again even when they kill you over and over :) Those games are not very hard at all but your main skill for playing them successfully needs to be quick and accurate targeting of enemies - and you will only get that muscle memory by practice. I'm sure a few of them even have auto-aim on the easy setting so releasing and repulling the aiming trigger will auto aim your weapon at enemies on screen, would help massively especially if you are getting overwhelmed.

    Just note as well that COD in particular has "monster closets" as they are known - basically areas in a mission where enemies will spawn non stop until you reach a certain checkpoint (I saw my dad try WAW before and spend nearly 40 mins shooting at never ending enemies until I told him to move forward about 10 steps and the next part triggered :D)

    Yeh i get you , in theory at least.... But really One im not that good....
    Iv been playing firs person shooters for years now, and an just as rubbish now as when i was younger..... And to me they hard ,,,,
    Also i want them to relax and it gets to a point where in tense and frustrated , which defeats the object,,,,,
    So what i do is i sauce easy games that are actually easy for me to finish ....
    line for play station one i had 2 ganes i could play ....Then ps2 i got about 7 games ....so im hoping for ps3 i can get another 5 or six..... That will keep me going to the coffin ....Also once i finished the game i can go back and play my fravorate bits...
    Just for enjoyment.... Thats where im coming from

    Hi Guys originality I wroat to Kimbot as they said to ask if i needed any more help, But i think were both drew a blank..... So im putting it out thair .....
    Im having difficulty getting through the games you suggested even on easy,,,,, As for me easy isnt easy
    i like them , but they are Too Hard .... Either relentless enemy, coming at you from all angles , or killer accuracy... I'm looking for someone who would play the games for me all the way through so I could just play the parts of the game that I can play. I'm not fast enough, and I can't melee. No matter how much time I put in, I don't improve and just get killed all the time.
    I don't know if you could help me or know someone who would. I would need to post you the games and a memory stick.
    I've got chronic fatigue and I am not competitive by nature and playing station is one way I can rest but not if I get killed the whole time. Let me know if you have any advice, thanks Bud
