I'm going to be different... I've noticed a lack of static modellers on this board.

Excellent dude mine is fast and handles very well. Just make sure that you set up your brakes, i crashed mine on the first outing and was waiting weeks for parts heh.

Hi Guys, I'm Flunked's brother. Being new to RC models we're a bit confused by the various names given to the different bolts/needles in the carburetor. So I've taken pics on my phone to help make things clearer. (If the photos are not very clear we can take them on a proper digital camera.)

    pic1.JPG

    pic2.JPG

    pic3.JPG

The screw that doesn't seem to want to go back in belongs in 'B'. This controls minimum idle engine speed, right? Could someone tell us if it's unusual for this pin to not screw in easily and what position should it be in (as in number of turns out from the fully screwed in position)

The documentation supplied with the model and what we've found online uses various different names to describe the three screws/needles. So, if possible, could someone tell us the names of A, B and C, their purpose and exactly how many turns out, from fully screwed in, should they be?

Thanks for all your help guys.

A = this is the high end needle

B = this is the idle needle

    c = low end needle

Idle needle should be adjusted to a point where the car will sit ticking over but not to high a tick over as to have the clutch engage which is make the car move. Also if driving and u find when u brake the engine cuts this could be due to the gap in the carb closing to much so just tighten in till you can brake with out this happening.

Very bad accelleration from standing start, but power kicks in at about 20mph.
Dunno top speed ... looks like 40-something to me, but you know how we deceive ourselves on top speed estimates sometimes !
    possibly 45 ?
Turns - v-e-r-y sensitive - I have minimised the throw, and 50% expo on the radio as well, still goes round a turn on two wheels from time to time. :)

    T-Maxx,
I dread cleaning up mine after a muck about in the field beside me but i'm talking about grass and the odd splashes of mud. What in the name of God are u driving that thing through? If I brought that home she'd tell me to turn round and keep on walkin. LOL
    Nice job anyway

    Fred that's a beautiful model.
Lovely work in depron. How did you curve the depron sheets ... heat iron or heat gun?
We could do with a separate thread about that, if you're willing. :)

The skirt lights aren't fit yet but i'll post as soon as they're on. No.s 93 up are the new ones. Pic no. 109 is the new PROTECH exhaust and micro failsafe. And alas, the JATO has had it's first defeat. Pic no. 115 is the rear suspension arm that I smashed in half today. Not too worry though, Aluminium replacements are on the way.
