    Hi ,

I am looking for some spots to do a bit of snorkelling where there is interesting sea life . Not looking at free diving , just some shallow places where I can swim above and look down to admire the view . So far I have beenrestricted to the pollockholes in kilkee . I have heard of a place in roundstone connemara too but havent made it up there yet . Please post some suggestions . Snorkelling is fast becoming my go to relaxation method.

    Barry

The coral strand at Carraroe is a nice spot. Not so much for seeing fish, but it's just very bright and clear.

Up towards Donegal, the beach at St. Johns Point is great. There are shallow kelp beds, with big dogfish and schools of smaller fish swimming around. Also nice clear water.
