Sounds like he was butchered; several papers reporting that his heart and/or one of his lungs was cut out... and eaten...

Mother of god that's horrendous, could have done without hearing that story on a fearful Monday morning!

Hope the rest of your weekends went well, I quit my current gym and joining one across from work, so hopefully that'll allow me to train before & after work in between football - looking forward to a change of scenery

Got enough cardio in watching Liverpool vs. Stoke yesterday, my poor heart!

    Sorry!

The guy's lodger has been charged with his murder though so everyone can sleep easy tonight :pac:

My weight training in the gym seems to be having the unexpected effect of making me weaker, I can do fewer and fewer repetitions every time I go

How often are you doing it? You might need to increase recovery time a bit

I've been trying to increase it to every 2 days; clearly isn't enough recovery time for me though. Going to drop it back to every 3 days. It's a pity because I have to go to the gym basically every 2nd day anyway for my knee rehab.

No need to apologise man it's a crazy story so worth sharing but yeah....reading about that kind of stuff makes you wonder about the people you'd be passing on the street!

This - make sure you're resting enough between visits, not overdoing it, and make sure you're eating enough of the right foods - are you taking protein to aid recovery?

I've been given a plan to do via the GAA club I play for - first two weeks are to be doing a weight you can do 4 sets of 12-15 to build muscle stamina a bit, then after that 4 sets of 6-8 for strength before going back to sets of 10 for toning.

It's mainly focusing on core work, back & shoulders which is what I need to work on really but hopefully I can do the program while doing the preseason running - my legs are going to be full of lactic acid tomorrow I'd say :(

Are you training the same muscles or doing the same routine every two days? If so then you should specialise i.e. if you need to do light rehab for your knee every two days, then fine, keep that up but maybe try the following:

Monday - Rehab, Chest & Arms
    Wednesday - Rehab, Legs
Friday - Rehab, Back & Shoulders
Saturday - Swim / Light Cardio / Recovery
    Sunday - Rest

Yeah. I'll try something like that, cheers. Having a beer instead tonight though :p

Yikes, even reading the headline of that story has me  Poor guy :(

Productivity at all time low today. Email traffic unobligingly increasing in direct proportion to sleepiness. Not

Took the day off work, very little sleep last night and really needed the lie on.

House to myself while the missus works so we have bread and butter on the table this eve :D

Watching The Lord of The Rings trilogy. Today is a good day :)

Myself and my house mates watched them all last year in one day when we decided to give college a skip. Our FYPs were due the next day too, if I remember correctly :D

I love those type of days, Slattsy!

    Yeah it's great.

Ain't seen them in years either so rather than do housework I picked the longest movies. They're actually the extended versions too!

Loads of tea and bickies as well.

Yeah, read about that murder this morning, terrible. Quite why the Indo needed to include certain details, oh well, it's Paul Williams. Will say no more.

Need to do a LOTR rewatch.
    January's already creeping by...

I am sitting here drinking Jack Daniels and finishing college work - this will end well :pac:

Lynch you? Kudos, more like! I'm a Whiskey man myself. Have half a bottle of JD in the press, awaiting my next social, or not so social adventure :D

I once reedited an entire Group Project, in some BS module such as Marketing, or Market Research, at 3 in the morning after a night on the sauce. While predrinking I highlighted everything that I hated and wanted to change, and I came home and rewrote it under the influence of the creative muse that is alcohol.

Never even told the two girls I was with that I changed all their stuff, nevermind that I did it while drunk pleasantly unsober. Thankfully, it all went well :D

    You're gonna ace it

    :pac:

Booze enhances creativity... at least to a point. My rule of thumb is that if your spelling gets so bad that Word can no longer suggest corrections, then it's time to put the bottle away.

    Laughed at that :D
Saw some pictures of the real models used for the characters. Pam is bang on, but Lana not so much....

Whiskey dirnker myself too. Got a bottle of Jameson and one litre of rum for Christmas. Sitll unopened  Both.
But I'm about to finish a homemade sort of coffee liqueur. Keeps you warm, it's freezing ourside.
