Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    In the following link the eighth entry on the list under Smithfield has two names - Charles Morrison and Peter O'Neill.
    I'm wondering what would be a likely explanation if any for two names appearing where the norm is usually one?

    Seriously though I've seen this myself and often wondered why? Joint tenancy?

    Do we know anything about the nature of the property?

    There could be any number of explanations. They could be cousins who have jointly inherited the property. They could be half-brothers. The could be business partners, and the property is an asset of the partnership.

    It's a friends project rather than my own family tree so I'm not 100% sure what the nature of the property is.
    But I imagine the reason is something like your suggestion.
    Hopefully other records can be found to establish what the connection is between Charles and Peter.
