Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Not sure if this is any help, but we got €500 worth on Feb 26 and ended up with 696 litres, works out at 71.8c/litre (inc VAT). That was from Shreelawn.

    Probably gone up since then though :(

    Hmm, they quoted me €250 for 500 litres on Wednesday, appreciate its dropping all the time though. Got 500 litres from Feale Oil for €250 in the end as they could deliver to my area sooner than Corrib Oil and I did need it pretty pronto.


    I heard on the news last night that the national average price for 1,000 litres is €450 at the moment.

    From looking at online quotes I'm seeing prices for Kerosene at 50c a litre for 500L and 49c a litre for 800L.

    What's the general feeling in the press etc. regarding price trends?

    Want to stock up but can hold off if prices will drop further.

    Oil is going to drop more and more. Sanctions just lifted on Iran and they are going to flood the market with oil

    I rang Tara and Corrib a few weeks back, and tara were a tenner cheaper for 500 litres, with a free dipstick. :-D

    Made a few calls this morning and while the prices are pretty even I notice a bit of haggling was ok .

    They are all between 345 and 355 for the 500ltr of Kerosene , went with Corrib in the end as he matched an introductory price from Cosgraves of €335 .

    Mine has a capacity of 900 litres. As h3000 mentions though there are bigger tanks out there.

    After ringing a few suppliers Shreelawn oil were the cheapest @ €405 for 500 liters.

    Most of the others were looking for €415-€420 so give them your business.
