Social Media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook to be officially declared detrimental to mental health by the WHO and to be banned in some countries. Additionally further cause to ban Facebook due to election interference.

America to start their next phony war with Iran further destabilising the region and forcing hordes of refugees to Europe.

A referendum to take place on a United Ireland that will not pass unfortunately.

Fine Gael to release action plan 2050 amongst huge publicity and bluster. Included in the plan is Metro North. A rail link to the airport! Can you believe that.

Boeing 737-max programme is officially scrapped. The plane is way out of kilter and no amount of software can fix it. If they do release it back into service, expect some of them to go down.

Harmonization of corporate tax rates across the EU once the UK leaves resulting in a recession and more borrowing but as long as paddy gets his pot holes fixed, everything will be grand sure.

Roy Keane will be a surprise resigning for Man Utd who'll eventually go on to beat Dublin in the All Ireland Final.

Boris Johnson will executed in the Tower of London after being unmasked as the father of Prince Harry.

Northern Ireland will be auctioned off to the highest bidder with Chinese property developers making the highest bid.

    1) A group of people that spent most of their adult lives in recession or hard times will be wondering how they’re going to survive in the rental market when they retire.

    2) A group of people forced to retire at 65 will be seriously struggling while waiting on their pension.

    3) Greater Dublin area will expand further while most jobs will remain in Dublin. Congestion will get worse.

    4) Stay at home parents might become more common as childcare costs are too high to justify working.

    5) A new strain of Flu will cause deaths and panic.

    6) William will be King of England by the end of decade. Elizabeth and Philip both dead. Charles will have stood down.

    7) Irish politics will probably remain similar.

    8) America will continue to have mass shootings and not see that guns are causing the problem.

Not too much real change. Just issues escalating.
    Happy New Decade lads!

Kendrick Lamar will release another great album.
Run The Jewels 4 will be released and a few years later, 5.
Wu Tang will release one more album before they all disband for good.
3 more Czarface albums, at least one of which will have a guest like the Ghostface and MF Doom ones. Possibly Redman?
I'd love another Cypress Hill album similar to the last one but I can't see it. They may go rock again. :-/
Kool Keith will release 13 albums. Up from 11 in the 2010s.
The Irish Drill music scene gets a modicum of international recognition.
Someone will try to reboot or spin off The Wire but it just won't same.
More Superhero movies than we need.
Mr. Blobbly will make a brief comeback, for no good reason.
One of the Spice Girls will exit this world.
Prince Charles becomes King when the Queen dies.
    2 more popes.
Ireland get to the quarters in the Euros (football).
Qualify for a world cup but not get past the 2nd round.
    Bono dies.
High tech clothing becomes popular, especially footwear.

Thought my two main predictions were depressing, until reading the above^

    Anyway two major events are:
ASTEROID Apophis (370m) will splash down near San Juan, Puerto Rico (66.6W) on April 13, 2029 at 03:15 GMT. Mass of 61,000,000,000 kg and approach speed 32,624 km/s at entry angle of 42°.

Active Vesuvius (Italy) will cause a super-eruption 2023, Yellowstone Caldera will also be of heightend (external) risk at this time, postponing the POTUS24, leaving Donald in charge for an extended and indefinite period.

there will be more extreme fires in california and australia.
more extreme weather events, all around the world, like flooding in venice.
The middle east has always been in turmoil, as far as i can remember .
Which is 30 plus years .
It,ll get worse if trump gets elected for a second time .
America will withdraw troops from , africa and other countrys .
As drones become cheap and easy to use we may see more attacks on countrys like saudia arabia .
China will become more influential and more powerful as american power is reduced .
People may leave some towns or coastal regions due to flooding caused by climate change.
More countrys will block the internet, or block certain social media app,s
    to reduce political protests .
There ,ll be a eu internet, usa internet, no more open internet
as politician,s bring in ridiculous laws like make no sense like article 13.
Sites like reddit may be blocked in the eu,
as it will be illegal to host any images, or video, content. unless you can show you have the permission of the copyright owner to show it.
Most memes will be illegal in the eu,
as they show a random image with text on it.
Without getting permission from the person who made the image.
Vr games maybe more popular if someone makes a lightweight vr headset that is cheaper than the models we have now ,
like the phones we have now are 10x times more powerful than the first iphone.

The UK will finally and sadly leave the EU after having a few extensions. Then they will go bust just like they did in the 70s and need the IMF to bail them out.

Man made climate change will be proven once and for all and all the naysayes and denyers will be proven wrong.

There will be a European army formed.

We will go to the poles at least three times this decade to vote for a new Government.

Social media will be less popular.

    Consumerism will be less popular.

There will be more Ssangyoung cars sold here the third Korean carmaker.

There will be less car companies as they join together or go bust.

Chinese car makers will become more popular here.

Electric cars will be more popular than ICE cars.

Oil prices will go up and down.

Trump will lose that 2020 presidential campaign to one of the Democrats.

Scotland will gain independence from the UK and then apply to join the EU.

Ryan Tubridy will finally stop doing the Late Late Show and someone better will take over.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

When Trump leaves office in 2024, consensus will be he wasn't that bad :pac:

    Can ony find recent years:
    2018: https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=105531427
    2019: https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=108840669

Right-on for the most part, apart from the '18 cloaking device someone proposed (eagerly awaiting). Was a year early on LPool for the UKPL19, and few months early on BoJo taking over from May.

The 2020's will be a messy affair, more so towards the end of the decade.

This is more of a certainty than a prediction - it was already obvious there was going to be a 2020 election; the longest stretch from that is 2025 and then 2030 but a sub-5 year term for the 2020-elected govt was already inevitable based on polling figures.
