    Hi All,

This is my my and only post
Im a bit desperate as I sometimes receive verbal abuse
yelled at me by persons unknown often youths,in the street
    when going about my business.
Its driving me nuts as I am quite old and I though all this stopped at school.
Ive racked my mind for the reason and I can only think its because i dress a big flamboyantly.
    perhaps effeminately.
    But Im not Gay!
    I feel provoked.
What they shout is entirely false. They are just hoodies louts and idlers.
I dont even know these people from Adam.
    Its also very embarrasing.
Im wondering if I have grounds for a Sexual Disrimanatory Case since I dont think
    hetero sexuals are covered?
ie if i reveal myself as 'gay' it will be taken more seriously?
Its very nasty and hurtful and causes me much worry where its going.
These folks are hard to pin down they run off after.

My advice goto the gardai and report it. You havent said the verbal abuse includes homophobic abuse. It is potentially a hate crime if they are targeting you because of your sexuality or imputed sexuality.

Your sexuality is completely irrelevant. No I dont think you should lie and say you are gay.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
