Anybody know of any decent electronics kits that can be bought around dublin or ordered from within Ireland.
I'm looking for something like this
    http://www.hobbyengineering.com/H1019.html
That will include a breadboard, capacitors, diodes, transistors..

Or would I be better off buying all the basic stuff myself from a hardware store and getting circuit info online?

Take a look at the starter kit on that page, its the one I got when i started, decent set and not too bad a price. Other than that you could order stuff in from China on ebay very cheap but have to be wary of fakes.

Can't go wrong with that kit. It's great to begin with a started pack and then build it from there.

Ebay is a great resource for dirt cheap components. I've ordered a bit from China and I haven't gotten any fakes, but you generally have to buy in bulk and wait 2 weeks for delivery.

In fairness it's probably as cheap to make the component as it is to make a fake.
