Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Site down indefinately

    People would just not follow the basic rules

    The forum is suspended due to the increasing burden of moderating and administrating the site. It seems that too many users cannot grasp simple rules and a code of conduct. We are considering the future of the site, and whether it has one or not.

    Trust me, after speaking with some of the admins yesterday, it could quite easily never return which will be an awful shame.

    If you don't know the full facts, don't be calling it a cop out.

    Believe me, there is work going on behind the scenes to see if it can be kept operational and the extra mods suggestion is being considered at this moment in time.

    It's a shame because I thought it was a great forum. Feel very sorry for the mods, they do their best and people throw it back in their faces!

    im an admin of a forum somewhere and you can pre moderate posters if you are concerned that they are a hassle, you can IP ban them, you can do many things short of closing the entire forum down.

    It's just down for some site maintenance for a short while, hopefully won't be down for much longer.

    Just testing out a few new features on it.

    I used to be able to post in the club section, now I can't. I rarely post which so I'm not too fussed, but I like to having the option:) Has there been a change of rules lately that I'm not aware of?

    You need to have 30 posts made in the main forum to have posting rights in the club football section (the root of most of our moderating issues).

    Its a pity alright.
    A temporary stop on new registrations and a temporary "Zero Tolerance Or Perm Ban" policy might at least keep it going, until the issues are resolved.
