Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    It's a social norm ever since time immemorial that men go for younger women due to wanting a fertile partner and women go for older men due to wanting financial stability and maturity.

    I'd be in a different category in the sense that I prefer older women. (25-29). I'm 22 and only entering college so don't have much to offer a woman my age let alone an older women. I don't find younger women attractive, funnily enough, and not because i think they're immature (emotionally) but because they just aren't attractive enough to me. Look a bit like kids.

    So, what's the youngest you'd date?

    Why would a woman that looks for maturity and financial stability go with a 22 year old college student? Plenty do though so that that theory gone

    Although, TBH, I've done it at this age (40s) and i don't quite have the patience for all the insecurities and hand holding involved.

    Nowadays I consider 26 to be the perfect age for a woman.

    And F, most men date younger women because they generally have better bodies... it's not anything to do with fertility, since we'd prefer not to get her pregnant.

    I'm 22, wouldn't go younger than 20.

    It feels like babysitting. One of my friends started dating an 18 year old and the differences in maturity are glaringly obvious

    In what sense is the difference in maturity obvious?

    It's funny you say that because I've heard the wisdom is that men of all ages generally lust for women between teenage years up to their late 20s.

    True, but what was said was between two specified age ranges....

    Between "teenage years" and "late 20s" would therefore be the years after teenage years and before late 20's, so 20 - 26ish no?

    I find it more weird that people jumped straight to an assumption he meant early teens.

    How is that surprising?
    Just because you get a bit older doesn't mean you find younger women less attractive.

    EDIT: When you said teenager, my mind went to 18/19. Not 13. So who's the creepy one now?

    It maybe thinly veiled, but it is a very dangerous statement in my opinion !
