The Premier League is back and in full swing, and I feel like it’s been ages since we’ve had a normal game of Sheep or Peehs, so why not combine the two?

This game will revolve around naming one player from each team in this season’s Premier League. For the record, those teams are:

    Arsenal
    Aston Villa
    Bournemouth
    Brighton & Hove Albion
    Burnley
    Chelsea
    Crystal Palace
    Everton
    Leicester City
    Liverpool
    Manchester City
    Manchester United
    Newcastle United
    Norwich City
    Sheffield United
    Southampton
    Tottenham Hotspur
    Watford
    West Ham United
    Wolverhampton Wanderers

For each team, I would like you to name one player who has made at least 15 appearances for that club this season

    - I am only counting appearances in the 2019/20 Premier League season. No cups, European games, etc.
    - I will not count a player who, for example, may have appeared 10 times for one club and 5 for another. It must be at least 15 for that nominated club
    - I will count substitute appearances, no matter how short, as full appearances

To make things a bit easier and more accessible, Google is allowed

Incorrect answers will score 2x the Sheep for that question

Please PM me your answers, do not post them on the thread

Reveal will take place in about two weeks

    Bon chance :)

    Cool idea Aaron :)

I've gone for the Guardiola approach - I came up with a plan A that I think will win. When it starts going wrong I don't have a plan B :pac:

He learned all he knows from Marcelo Bielsa. His philosophy is execute plan A. If that fails, do plan A better.

Worth mentioning that if anyone's interested in The Great One, there's a documentary about him on Sky Sports after the Leeds game on Thursday.

The greatest non-event in English football history? Possibly, any excuse to see the genius of his press conference after it again.

Also is there a cut off re: appearances?

    Example.
Player A has played 14 games(as of posting), but players game 15 next week...

Yes, that would be fine, I'll be counting appearances up to the time I close the game for sign-ups

I have a list done up, will sleep on it & see if I get some inspiration for more elusive answers.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,514 ✭✭✭aaronjennings

Hey Wayne, how many entries are we up to?

so we want to pick the most random player from each team, and just hope no one else picked that same random player. i'll get mine in shortly

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,514 ✭✭✭aaronjennings

I've realised that the fairest time to close this off for sign-ups would be a time when every team has played the same number of games

As a result, I'm going to set a deadline of 5pm on Saturday for any new entries, with the reveal probably taking place on Monday. So if you're thinking of gettig involved you'd better get your ass off the bench and start warming-up :D

I had a brilliant strategy too, no English or Irish players and I tried to avoid each teams best player

I know, it's a long time since Arsenal did anything in that regard too :(

Local GAA gives me all the feels though. Ecstasy and agony - mostly agony :D

I'm very familiar with agony. As an added bonus at Leeds over the years it was often preceded by chaos and anarchy. Never a dull moment if you're a Leeds fan. :pac:

I sense an angry Sawduck during the reveal when all the "obvious" picks score zero :p
