It's a wonderful record.
Can I suggest Muchacho by Phosphorescent, if you haven't heard it?
There are similarities but also some brilliant differences.

Benji.

Anyway, I can recommend Courtney Barnett, Ryley Walker, Mourn, Lower Dens, David Corley, Frazey Ford.

Ha yeah sorry! Benji! Doesn't sound a very sincere endorsement if I can't even spell it

These guys are all in bands together, so the above are all linked.
Amazing, Southern Gothic stuff.

Reminds me of early Nick Cave.

(Apologies for only adding links. Tried to embed the videos but couldn't).

Mike Krols 'turkey' album is well worth a spin.
It is short @18 minutes but has no fillers. Standout songs Suburban wastelands and Neighborhood watch.

Going through my old CDs at the moment. Last night I found Black Monk Time by the Monks. A favorite of Jack White and Mark E. Smith, it's easy to hear why.

Solid Space -'Space Museum'.
Released 1982. A once-off by all accounts. A minimal wave delight that runs just over 30 mins. Came across it a couple days ago and keep going back to it
Was looking for the 'how the f*** did I manage to miss this one' thread but here is good!
