anyone else noticing that Camelizer isn't reporting pricing history on Amazon (I use the chrome plugin) and when I just checked, I haven't received a pricing alert since the end of February)

The following is on the camelcamelcamel.com site if you select the UK store:
In response to the COVID-19 crisis, Amazon has asked us to stop updating products in Europe until further notice. Stay safe out there.

Very strange reasoning. Sounds like they’re just using it as an excuse for something else.

I noticed amazon jacked up the prices on a lot of products during the lockdown so didn't want camel tracking that.

But they never would have wanted that, so it’s very odd that they could stop them now for that reason and never before.

I saw other comparison sites were closed too, ones that check multiple EU sites.

I got a tree pruner a lot cheaper on amazon.de even with the postage. I also saw hair clippers much cheaper on amazon.de and amazon.es than on the uk one -again factoring in the postage.

Noticed huge increases on Amazon prices myself. A test run for when bricks and mortar shops go under for good.

Contact them and ask? No one on here will have the answer to that question.

Amazon was under pressure with demand in the early days of Covid-19 so to help avoid non-essential orders.

As alot of what's on amazon comes from China supply of products dried up with the factories closing down. This reduction in supply drove prices up. Amazon didn't want this to be tracked as expected it to be temporary and didn't want it recorded in the price history.
