Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Hi,

    Just wondering if anyone has had a washing machine/ fridge freezer etc delivered and installed recently? I've just moved, and need both, but I cant see online if any of the main retailers will install in the current environment..

    Are these integrated units? If not, a fridge/freezer only needs to be plugged in and if it's replacing an old machine i.e. the water feed and waste pipe are in place, virtually anyone can install a washing machiine.

    But I don't think you will get any installation services, some retailers are now saying they won't even bring the appliance into your house.

    Currys are saying that: 'we’ll deliver to your front door for now'. Which I take to mean they will drop the item outside your front door and you have to bring it in. Which would not be an easy task in the case of a fridge/freezer or a washing machine if you don't have a wheeled truck!

    DID are saying 'We are still operating our delivery service during this difficult time, however any deliveries that require two people and our premium delivery service are temporarily unavailable.' And they have suspended all installation services.
