So MetalSucks polled a bunch of prominent metal musicians and industry insiders to determine The 25 Best Metal Albums of 2010 – 2019! As you would expect from lists such as this, there's a couple of head-scratchers in there but more than a few bangers to be fair.

Any notable omissions from the list?

#21: The Black Dahlia Murder, Ritual (2011)
#20: Mastodon, Once More ‘Round the Sun (2014)
#19: At the Gates, At War with Reality (2012)
    #18: Meshuggah, Koloss (2012)
    #17: Gorguts, Colored Sands (2012)
#16: Between the Buried and Me, The Parallax II: Future Sequence (2012)
    #15: The Ocean, Pelagial (2013)
    #14: Kvelertak, Kvelertak (2010)

Out of all them my fav is Carcass - Surgical Steel. Total beast of an album and some comeback, looking forward to the follow up which i think is more or less finished

Was actually thinking of starting a thread like this, I've only heard Hardwired and Firepower from that list, both decent but nowhere near the best.

My list in no particular order:

    Black Country Communion - 2 (2011)
Black Country Communion - IV (2017)
Lordi - Babez For Breakfast (2010)
Lordi - To Beast or Not to Beast (2013)
    Megadeth - Dystopia (2016)
    Volbeat - Beyond Hell/Above Heaven (2010)
Volbeat - Outlaw Gentlemen and Shady Ladies (2013)
Volbeat - Replay, Rewind, Rebound (2019)
Alestorm - Sunset on the Golden Age (2014)
Alestorm - No Grave But the Sea (2017)
Stone Sour - House of Gold and Bones Pt. 1&2 (2012/2013)
Cellar Darling - This is the Sound (2017)
Cellar Darling - The Spell (2019)
Gloryhammer - Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards (2015)
Gloryhammer - Legends from Beyond the Galactic Terrorvortex (2019)
The Heard - The Island (2018)
Chris Cornell - Higher Truth (2015)
Slash - Living the Dream (2018)
    The Answer - Solas (2016)
Crucified Barbara - In The Red (2014)
Joe Satriani - Shockwave Supernova (2015)
Joe Satriani - What Happens Next (2018)
Cruachan - Nine Years of Blood (2018)
Airbourne - Breakin' Outta Hell (2016)
Joanne Shaw Taylor - The Dirty Truth (2014)

Opeth : Pale Communion from 2014 is a massive omission.

Meshuggahs Violent Sleep of Reason is better than Kollos imo.

Death is the Only Mortal by The Acacia Strain is another Romper Stomper.

These lists are subjective of course but as they go its not a bad one.

Agreed - far better than anyone could have dared hope. When you see the tripe many of their contemporaries (Obituary, Deicide, etc.) are putting out, it was a bit of a surprise that Carcass released something that could easily go toe to toe with any of their early stuff.

In a similar vein, if not quite to the same extent and hardly an album of the decade, I've found Morbid Angel's Kingdoms Disdained to be a real grower and spin it regularly. Up with Domination and Formulas for me.

Opeth may have compromised some of their 'Metal' credentials with the last few releases. Some of the more purist Metal fans lamenting the older days of MAYH, Still Life, Blackwater Park etc.

Linkin Park The Hunting Party should be on list, it is a metal album by the way

If it were my list Enslaved, Opeth, Ihsahn, Amorphis, Primordial and The Ruins of Beverast would feature!

Also i would include Agalloch's final album.

Some great releases by the above bands alright. Which albums do you mean?

Yeah I hear you .... sad really. Never ceases to amaze me that Anathema get almost no criticism for going from Doom in the early years to borderline Coldplay* in recent years (* that might be a tad harsh) .... yet Opeth get it in the neck.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned vektors two albums from this period or insomniums most recent effort.

Hardwired should be let nowhere near any respectable best-of list. The decade had far better to offer.
Also i would include Agalloch's final album.
Agalloch - Marrow of the spirit
2014's The Serpent & The Sphere was the final Agalloch album, not Marrow of the Spirit.
