    All,

Mayo Archery Club (North Mayo, between Castlebar and Ballina) are holding a field shoot on Sunday the 23rd of June 2013. This will be a 36 target shoot at our 3D course in Massbrook woods. Mostly 3D’s (maybe a couple of paper faces). We'll be using the usual IFAF scoring system (1st arrow 20/16, 2nd arrow 14/10, 3rd arrow 8/4).

If they're any super enthusiastic archers lurking out there (IFAF affiliated) who like shooting 3D’s in an open forest setting then please drop over. We’re a pretty friendly (international) bunch of Irish, English & German aspiring archers. We’ll have people shooting self bows, American flatbows, recurve’s and compounds. Carbon, wood and aluminium shafts are all welcome.

The details are up on the IFAF website / event calendar. They can be seen at the following link:

The club website is as follows: http://www.mayoarchers.com/

A better way to get a feel for the place is to check-out the Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/mayoarchery

    Regards, James. :)

    All,

We had good fun in Mayo on Sunday last. The weather cooperated and the lads did a great job of setting up the course. The prizes for the various categories were as inventive as ever. I've attached a snap of my new buddy Mr. Owl. They'll be a shoot report over on the IFAF website later this week so check the photos out there.

Thanks to everyone that travelled up to the Northwest to shoot arrows with us over the weekend. We hope to see you all again in September ... and remember, bring-your-friends!

    Regards, James.
