Might as well get the ball rolling on a PCVR Bargain alerts thread.

Dirt Rally for $10 on Vive / Rift for 24 hours.

(have this on PSVR, it's tough but beautiful)

Tempted by eleven but no idea if it's better to wait for a sale on oculus store or if playing via SteamVR is just as good.

Star Trek is 50% off too.

    was going to post that!
I've a few of them, trying to decide between Gorn/Arizona sunshine or DoomVFR...

Eleven @ €8.24 is more than worth it

    Just a reminder :D

Perhaps we could get a boards league going :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 381 ✭✭TheKells

I got it from humble bundle few days ago and I'm completely ****e but I'd be up for a league.

Played the top ten ranked player and he pretty much took the hand outta me!

I can't really beat anything better than semi-pro (and even then only win 1 out of 4 semi-pro matches), so I'm not exactly ace myself.

    Yet... :p

I played the game for a while and lost a lot lol. I did enjoy the social aspect though. I got talking to a guy from the UK for about 2 hours while we just took it easy on the table.

Unfortunately none of us could figure out how to add the other as a friend.

Do they appear on the Oculus home as players you’ve last played with in friends suggestions?

Just a note... needs other people to "Keep talking" in the room with you.

i.e. Not single player in case anyone didn't know

Ah ****e, I got it mixed up with that PSVR puzzle game I expect you to die!

It’s unlikely I’ll have anyone in the PC room as it’s tiny!

I think he means the virtual room that you play the game in.

Nope. Real people in the real room with you give you instructions on how to defuse the bomb.

It's essentially a party game, which is surprising considering how popular it is. I would have thought a game which involves you having to organise a group of people to come over and sit around while you have a VR headset on the whole time would have been a pretty rare use case.

My mates would rather be in the bar getting wasted :/

Man I was playing against some english dude in Eleven last night, and I heard him hit the controller off something that fell off the shelf.

I had to cover my mouth to stop me from LOLing!

My area is tiny so I hit the wall a few times too and couldn’t reach far enough to the right but what a fun game it is. It’s just like the real thing.

Have you tried Sprint Vector yet?

Nope, looks like i could get away with it in the small space but i mainly use the Rift for seated experiences.

ah yeah you need a pretty large amount of space as you swivel on the axis while moving arms around.

If you can rotate on the spot with arms out you should be ok.

I wonder if it supports the T.Flight HOTAS X properly.

There's a long winded guide here to setting up a hotas.

There's only one type of HOTAS I'd buy and it involves Deo VR player

Battlezone VR is 12 quid on steam at the moment , been playing it for the last few hours and really really enjoying it.

It was out on PSVR last year and PC later and in fairness Rebellion have done a bit more work on it from release.
There's a 4 player co-op mode as well so might be worth picking up for that alone .
Actually seeing as you can use a regular controller actually have a 2nd copy running on my older pc with the DK1 and its working fine so possibly it'll work with likes of trinius gyre/riftcat as swell
Actually being able to play a version of the original arcade game in VR is fantastic.
