Can anyone tell me the History behind the metal bridge that
Crosses the Liffey at the Strawberry Beds between the Westlink and Anglers Rest Pub, when its was built, its purpose etc.

AFAIK it was built so Mill workers living on the Strawberry beds could get across the river to the Mill (at the bottom of Mill lane) - I can remember walking across it from the Palmerstown side but the North end of the bridge was blocked.

AFAIK Some maps also indicate a ferry nearby. The certainly indicate the mill race.

According to this: http://www.farmleigh.ie/txtver/tour10.htm, it was built to service Farmleigh.

Does anyone know anything about the bridge which joins the yards at Heuston Station from the Liffey Bridge Junction to the Phoenix Park tunnel.

    IE: this one: irish-architecture.com/buildings_ireland/dublin/islandbridge/conyngham_road/heuston_bridge_tunnel.html

At the very least I'd love to know it's official name, but if anyone knows when built, etc would also be interested.

It was built to connect the Great Southern Railway (operating from Heuston) to the Dublin docklands.

See the orange railways here https://us.v-cdn.net/6034073/uploads/attachments/2160/23367.GIF

Initally, the Midland & Great Western Railway (operating from Broadstone) build a railway along the canal. this mean that goods could be transferred almost directly from ships to trains and vice versa at Spencer Dock.

GSR couldn't compete with this and goods had to be hauled through the streets. So initially GSR built the link from Heuston to Cabra and paid M&GWR to use their section to the docks. M&GWR were charging an exorbitant rate, so GSR extended the railway in parallel to the M&GWR line. The M&GWR is below street and canal level for much of the journey, whereas the GSR line is elevated from Phibsborough to Connolly.

The GSR line had cattle (later cement) sidings in Cabra, flour to North City mills

The M&GWR line had a timber siding near Croke Park.

See here, they used to have some photos of the bridge and tunnel. http://www.platform11.org/campaigns/phoenix_tunnel/
