Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Canadian Seal Hunt

    Hi every year the animal rights group ARAN holds a demonstration outside the Canadian Embassy to protest the organised seal hunts that are held there. You might have seen their recent protest in the paper with the girl in her underwear in Galway against circuses. I am looking for people who might be interested to help me spread the word around UCD. If anyone would be interested please PM me, its for a good cause.;)

    That is barbaric. We should also boycott the airlines that transport the seals over here for them to hunt in the embassy. THe poor animals wouldn't have a chance given that an office would be unfamilar territory to them plus they will be jetlagged.

    Shame on them.

    As to the op, I can see why you'd want to protest the killing of something cuddly & furry but why seals in particular? Why not cows? Or lambs? They’re much cuddlier looking than seals. Probably tastier too though.
