A family friend has kindly designed our wedding invitations and I would like to get them printed. A number of specialist wedding invitation printers are charging the same to print the invites as they would if they had designed them themselves. Can anyone recommend a good printer who could just print the invitations out? We are based in Dublin, however can also look at printers in Mayo and Limerick. Thanks in advance!!

If you have the invite in the right format then check out online services like Photobox. We used them for our thank you cards, quality was great.

Also places like Reads will print anything, no problem. You just need to make sure you have things in the correct format because if you go to them with a design for print it's not up to them to make sure your proportions and details are correct and fully proofed.

I used digital printing ireland to print thank you cards. 100 a6 postcards (Trucard Matt 280gsm), printed both sides. approx 30e with postage. As above you'd need to make sure the cards are perfect for printing.

I also went with DigitalPrintingIreland. They have a particular wedding section with different paper finishes and weights.

If you're not in a rush, you can request a sample pack to be posted to you to get a feel and see for yourself before ordering.

    Prices were very reasonable.

    Just go into Reads.

I use lots of different printers for different jobs and they are the cheapest.

Do you know what you want them printed on?

I sent Reads the images and picked up some samples today which are good, however they are working out more expensive than some of the other quotes.

I tried DigitalPrintingIreland however after uploading the designs I wasn't able to preview and to get 1 sample was working out a similar costs to ordering 50 (€19)

At least with Reads, and any offline printing company, you can go in and ensure that they are being done the way you want them and have recourse if they don't come out the way you want them.

I'd rather spend a bit more to be able to deal with someone directly.

You may be sorted by now OP

We got ours done in Prontaprint on Tara Street and they were great. Designed them ourselves like you did.

We got married 5 years ago but just checked my email there and they were €102 for 120 invites, 120 reply cards and envelopes for both. 300gsm paper which was better than a lot of the websites we looked at and were very happy with them

Also got our booklets done through them later and that was €195 for 150 20 page booklets-black and white inside and a colour cover.
