    Hi,

My wife/x-wife and I decided to separate. While the adjustment is taking its time.
I know it takes time. I don't miss her any more. We go for lunch twice a month as friends and if she needs help around the house with something I help.

I don't feel I help her out of some requirement its more so treat those as how I want to be treated. We're still very much so friends just the marriage bit didn't work out. How ever its time to start moving the proceedings on.

So we have no Joint assets or equity we both got loans for our wedding and we haven't got children or a mortgage. I'm just wondering can any one point me in the best way to get the ball rolling?

Any advice would be great. Out of curiosity 2 years before we broke up we were living our own lives with barely any affection and at time meaningless conversation. Can that count to us getting a divorce quicker?

    Sounds straightforward.

No need for mediation or legals. See if you could agree on a DIY divorce.

Jesus that sounds like a dream, i wish i had your circumstances, Im pretty sure citizen information can point you in the right direction re DIY separation/divorce, and i am almost sure if you are both agreeable the marriage did not exist for more than 2 years despite living in the same house you should be able to get divorce straight away too
