Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Religion and the Irish Education system is a sensitive and very prevalent issue in our society today. As such, it is by far and away the cause of most of the uncivil posts on this forum.

Now, obviously this is an important issue and everyone has a viewpoint on it but that does not give you the right to be abusive and rude. The moderators of this forum take 0 tolerance on such matters, and you can expect a card and/or a short ban for abusive or trolly comments in the future.

We do not want to ban discussion of this outright but if the abuse and general low level of discourse continues we'll be forced to lock such threads outright.
