Another night of sludge, doom and possibly a man playing stuff that shouldn't be used as instruments. Should be a great night.

Blaze Bayley started his musical career as the lead vocalist of Wolfsbane. When Bruce Dickinson departed heavy metal band Iron Maiden in 1993, Blaze Bayley was chosen as his replacement. Following Blaze Bayley's departure from Iron Maiden, he formed his own band, BLAZE. In 2000 the band released their debut studio album Silicon Messiah.

The album was followed up by Tenth Dimension and the band's first live album, As live as it gets. At the end of 2003, Blaze began writing material for the third studio album, blood & Belief. In February 2007, Blaze Bayley recorded the live DVD album Alive in Poland.

In July 2008, Blaze Bayley Band (BBB) released their debut studio album, The Man Who Would Not Die. The album also contained the band's first single, "Robot". The band recorded another DVD live at Z7, The Night That Will Not Die, which was released in March 2009. The 2nd album for the band, Promise and Terror was released on the 1st Feb 2010. Professional reviews have generally been very positive about the album.

To promote his new upcoming live DVD, Blaze will be touring all over Europe with his King of Metal Tour 2012. This will be with a line-up containing Dave Andrews, Claudio Tirincanti and others.

InMe + LostAlone + Mojo Fury
    Sun 18th March
    Whelan's

Tickets 8 bucks + fees available here http://www.whelanslive.com/index.php/wav-tickets/inme-lost-alone-mojo-fury-tickets

InMe are an English alternative rock band based in Brentwood, Essex. To date, the band have released 4 highly successful studio albums spawning a number of Top 40 UK singles and years of touring playing great shows and festivals around the UK, Europe and the world. InMe have toured with the likes of Nickelback, Limp Bizkit, Pendulum, Deftones, Serj Tankian, Staind, Feeder and Biffy Clyro; they have also played main stages and packed tents at respected festivals such as Reading, Sonisphere, Download & Summer Breeze.

The InMe of today is a very different animal to that of their 2003 debut album “Overgrown Eden”. Their continued evolution has maintained a fiercely loyal fanbase and challenged them further as musicians with the release of every album. Following on from “White Butterfly” (2005), “Daydream Anonymous” (2007) and “Herald Moth” (2009) the band released “Phoenix – The Best of InMe” in 2010: this celebrated their career so far and featured exclusive tracks that showcased InMe’s progression from their early days, when they had been thrust into the spotlight as teens. Over seven years on from first discovering the band, Kerrang! Magazine witnessed a full tent at Sonisphere Festival as “fans old and new celebrate a band who lionheartedly refuse to die”. Later in 2010 InMe packed out The Relentless Garage in London for 4 album shows to crown a year that proved beyond doubt that they were alive, well and very much wanted by the UK alternative rock scene.

Rolling on to 2011, InMe kept quiet until their triumphant return to Sonisphere Festival: this time the tent was bigger, and once again full to capacity, as 5000 people crammed into Bohemia to see them rock as hard as ever. The temptation could have been to head straight out on tour, but the band had been developing their sound for their 5th studio album entitled “The Pride”; they will spend the rest of 2011 perfecting the opening of the next chapter of InMe.

Always a band to give their all, they were never likely to return in 2012 with a mere handful of headline shows. True to form, InMe will release “The Pride” in February 2012 with a 34-date tour spanning the entire of the UK and Ireland until the end of March where London’s o2 Academy Islington will host the final show of the tour. “The Pride” will be released via Pledge Music, an innovative approach that puts the artists and their fans in control of the development of the album. Having seen the overwhelming support frontman Dave McPherson received for his solo album in March 2011 via the same route, it was clear to InMe that their fans would want to be involved in how “The Pride” was released. Starting in November, the InMe Pledge Music campaign will offer up a multitude of incentives to fans all pointed towards the ultimate goal of helping InMe reach as many fans as possible as they embark on the second phase of a journey that is far from over.

    LostAlone

LostAlone is a three piece rock band from Derby, UK and was formed in February 2005 In 2007 they released debut LP "Say no to the World" and has toured Europe as support for My Chemical Romance, Paramore Enter Shikari, Angels & Airwaves and Taking Back Sunday
“I’m A UFO In This City sees them more than ready to spar with the big boys for supremacy of the rock universe” Kerrang!
“LostAlone are going to be huge.” – Rock Sound

“Something beyond the ordinary.” – Kerrang

    Mojo Fury

“Visiting Hours of a Travelling Circus”, the debut album from Northern Irish alt-rockers MOJO FURY, has been lauded by all corners of the rock music press during its release in May: iTunes ran the band as ’Single of the Week’, Rock Sound as ‘Band of the Week’ and features in Front and Kerrang magazines are out in June. Artrocker (‘Album of the Month’), Kerrang, Big Cheese and Rock Sound were all lavish in their praise, and BBC Radio 1, NME Radio, XFM, Total Rock and more have been playing out cuts from the album.

    Whelanslive.com presents

    THE MEN (NYC)
    + Pulled Apart
    Wednesday 30th May
    Whelan’s Of Wexford St
Tickets €13.50 including booking fee available to buy online now from WAV Tickets or call the WAV Box Office [Lo-call 1890 200 078]

One of the most exciting rock bands for many years make their first visit to Ireland. Check out their awesome new single ‘Open Your Heart’ here -

Ironically referred to by Timeout NY as “Thurston Moore & the E Street Band,” The Men have never been a band to play by categorical punk subgenre rules. Instead, over the last three years, this band has dabbled in everything from hardcore punk to psych to shoegaze to black metal; and they have done all of it effortlessly, and for the most part, flawlessly. Totally removed from the current climate of a.d.d-youtube-blog-hyped generation of musicians under 21, The Men stand out from the pack as both scene elders and actual record collectors. What makes this band so unique is their ability to synthesize their influences rather than just regurgitate them – you can hear traces of Swans, Fugazi, The Buzzcocks, The Replacements & Faust on their second album ‘Leave Home’ and their latest LP opens up a whole new world of pop and classic rock influences but without ever relinquishing control of their own distinct identity.

On Open Your Heart, the band’s 3rd full length, sees the NY quartet explore twangy country music, guitar solos, surf-ish riffs, psych, and just about everything in between. Erring on the side of literal as opposed to ironic, the song titles here (“Oscillation”, “Country Song”, “Ex-Dreams,” etc.) blatantly celebrate the band’s “you get what you pay for” diy aesthetic. Beyond their genre defying writing experiments, some of the band’s finest singles to date are on this record; “Open Your Heart,” “Please Don’t Go Away,” and “Candy” all demonstrate a new pop sensibility that previous albums only hinted at. Additionally, having four songwriters in the band lends itself to a truly unpredictable and thrilling live experience. With Open Your Heart, The Men embrace what is truly their calling, and flower into the fully diversified punk band their fans have always championed them for being.

    Pulled Apart
Pulled Apart are an Irish hardcore punk band hailing from the Riffs Of More and features current & ex-members of Frustration & Drainland among others. Taking their cue from the impassioned hardcore of early Bad Brains and Minor Threat they create of snarling wall of politically-charged punk fury that will tattoo your armpits and shave your back.
