I'm a firm believer in men's names for dogs - Steve was our choice for our current dog, only Opie fit him better.

    He looks like a Steve.
    Maybe a Kevin :p

The dogs were both sick during the week and Bailey has learnt what to do when we ask if he's sick - play the dying swan!!

    Taken 30 seconds part!! :pac:

My brother always tells us off for using people names because when he was trying to name his son, loads of names he really liked had already been used on our dogs.

I always use names from movies and books I like. I've got Pepper from Iron Man, Disney from Disney (obviously :p) and Logan from X-Men.

Though saying that, I think he looks like a Max. I don't know why, just getting that vibe

    Ralph and Raven = great!
GOOD LUCK with him - I hope he settles in and Raven accepts him quickly. Rescuing any animal is always such a leap of faith - any rescue Ive been lucky enough to find, has been an absolute godsend, and a joy. I reckon anyone who rescues an animal has enough brownie points for life too, so I wish you all the very best of luck settling in the new boy

    Today raven played with ralph..
Big difference to last night.. constant growling hahah

We've popped out for food now.. so the test is...
If any furniture is left when we return haha.
I can't imagine either would harm one another...
    =/

No crying last night and no accidents!!!

Shakencat, I love your Raven. I think she's just gorgeous. You have her in such great condition, she gleams in your photos. I always get excited when I see you've put another photo up! Ralph is another stunner. I hope it works out for all of you. I'll be keeping an eye out for the pics to see his progress.

I took on a second rescue myself last month. He's a one year old yorkie x and a little madman! Ill have to post some pics myself soon!

Ah thanks guys :) Raven is spoilt rotten!!

    ahhhh,
    Raven is a bit off..
I think she's just marking her territory,
Ralph dosen't have a clue what happening!!

No problems when we came home earlier..

I think Raven just needs a bit of space at times is all.

It must be wierd for Raven to have this strange dog in her house suddenly. Give her time and space to get used to him. You want her to accept him so Im sure you are conscious of not making too much of a fuss of him or changing any of her routines/habits etc. Ralph being so young might be more adaptable, but he's had a hard time and a tough start, so lots of work needed there too. You will have your hands pretty full getting the transition to stay on track. Good luck & hope it all continues to go well :)

Just smiling at the 'people's names for dogs' on the previous page... Hugo and Jack HAD to have men's names. And they had to have 4 letters. Them's the rules!

    078E24A9-991D-4EB1-A361-3B7357787BD6_zps4zn4vpo4.jpg

They're the best of buds. They had their very first stint in kennels last weekend. Got on famously. Hugo is 4 and never been away from home!!! They've always come with us or we've used dog walkers/pet sitters.

Left them in for a day last Sat. A weekend (overnight) this weekend... Then build up for our first trip away without them in FOUR years!!! eek

No doggies allowed on the plane! Just don't tell them.
