Our latest podcast is out, featuring an interview with Prof Humberto Carrasco, director of the legal assistance clinic operated by Universidad Católica del Norte in association with NIC Chile, the country code domain registry for Chile (.CL).

The scheme is designed to "level the playing field" for small businesses and SMEs, who may find themselves in domain disputes with large companies, but are unable to afford legal representation.

Humberto explains that the clinic only accepts good-faith entrepreneurs and genuine businesses as clients, and the scheme provides valuable experience and research opportunities for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Meanwhile in Ireland, IE Domain Registry has announced that a new dispute resolution policy will come into effect in July. It's called the Alternative Dispute Resolution Policy (ADRP), and it is not designed to replace the existing ieDRP, but to deal with disputes that otherwise didn’t have a clear avenue apart from the courts.
