Hello and welcome to the Mustard forum. This forum is primarily intended for the discussion of mustard, mainly as a condiment but other uses such as the outlawed military applications of its namesakes and its illustrious history may also be discussed. Please keep the discussion civil and friendly as such matters are obviously all subject to personal taste! Non-mustard specific condiments may also be discussed here.

Although it is only natural that dubious claims and folksy cures may be attributed to mustards, mustard seed and mustard related products, this is not a medical forum and boards.ie can not be held responsible for the accuracy of any advice given here. Take all advice with a pinch of salt or a grain of mustard and seek medical advice if your symptoms persist.

Can you get Coleman's Mustard in Ireland. There's a lot of french stuff but it tastes horrible.

There's a few varieties of Colman's available. I have the English and their standard wholegrain here in the press bought from Superquinn.

Is there any hot irish mustards?

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators Posts: 10,501 Mod ✭✭✭✭ecksor

Some, but I can't recall any that particularly stick out. I've reviewed a few on this forum I think. I'll sticky some of the earlier threads that could do with being available in a few minutes.

Why is Colmans' French mustard not available any more. I like sandwiches mad out if with no other filling. Who needs ham when you have mustard?

Didn't know where to post this but I just found out today while researching genetic engineering that cabbage, broccoli and brussel sprouts came from the selective breeding of a certain species of mustard. I wonder does that mean mustard has to taste good on cabbage? :)

(I'm also trying to avoid working on this said research assignment)

Mustard is quite a Hard one to use..

You dont just take a big ol spoonful in your mouth anyway..

I like cooking with it the odd time thats ( Colmans Mustard) Goes well with Roast Pork (Spread Thinly on the outside)

I love Wholegrain Mustard in dressings like Honey and mustard, PLease try it :)

    I'll second that one :)
It's also good in a chicken sandwich. yum yum.
I even sometimes dip a piece of chicken or ham into the jar and eat it that way.
