It is better, Sisi is throwing meat to the Isis and MB supporter types and the general public, that stuff goes down well in Egypt and given how culturally acceptable it is there, I would say he is comfortable enough but he does not seem to be as intent as the MB were on it..

Sisi after all was appointed Minister of Defense by Morsi so he must have been considered on some wavelength similar but it is fair to say that a leader can have enemies at the cabinet table for expediency etc as well.

Yet I would still view their situation as better, still horrendous.

Sisi deserves the rope, not support.


Yet given the splits and nature of society/culture there, who will replace him that we wouldn't view as a fascist?

No it hasn't... al-Sisi's Government has carried out several airstrikes against Islamists in Libya precisely because they targeted Christians.

Do you have any proof to support your claim?
