With the Covid lockdowns and the need to carry at least one mask and small bottle of hand sanitiser around, plus the usual accompaniment of a wallet, big set of keys, phone, pack of cigs, tissue paper etc.....

Pockets and pocket organisation are an absolute must here.

And on this test I badly fail. But I’m not totally at fault, two of my light jackets for Summer evening wear are very poor in adequate pockets, fulfilling the philosophy of looks and design over practicality. :pac::cool:

Anyone else face the pocket conundrum? :D

There's no real need for a wallet these days as you can pay with the phone.

Also cut down on keys, split them into daily bunch and infrequent bunch

    Man bag.

Wouldn’t you be better off having a tug before you leave home, that eliminates the tissue.

Searching for one bunch of keys is sufficient for most people!

    :D

    Hand sanitiser - no need
Big set of keys - do you need that many?
    Smokes - give them up
    Tissue - debateable

If you insist on all of the above, get a bag.

Phone in one pocket. Wallet and keys in other pocket. Mask in back pocket. No need for the rest. But cigs would fit in pocket with phone.

no need for a wallet, if it's a leap card put it in your fag pack

as for keys, I have a specific "going out key", one key on a bottle opener keyring, covers all eventualities.

And stop wearing ridiculous skinny jeans, you're in your 40s man.

This. My problem is the opposite, too much stuff in the pockets, can't find anything.

You need one of those Airplane Jackets that let you pack for your holidays but get around the carry-on weight restrictions.

    1 key, 1 credit card, 1 mask, 1 phone.

    What more do you need?

How many keys do you need? I have 2, one for house, one for car. Simple.

Wasn't it Michael Knight from Knight Rider who used to carry an enormous bunch of keys everywhere - on the assumption that one of them would eventually fit in any lock he needed to break into?

Somehow - when he started trying them all - he always found the right one on the third try.

^^ KITT didn't have an ignition key, so he had to have something on his keyring.

And stop wearing ridiculous skinny jeans, you're in your 40s man.

    How very very dare you...

...I wear "slim fit " jeans- there IS a distinction...

    ...right?? :D

But seriously - I have so much assorted stuff in my pockets trying to find stuff is a bit of a nightmare at times.

    Liking the "airport jacket" ...

André trousers have a large inner zip pocket in the front left pocket, great for a mobile or perhaps a mask as the contents won't be fouled by keys, coins, wallet etc.

Talking about masks, I wish some enterprising company would provide on street mask dispensers because at the moment you can only buy them in shops and if you forget to bring a mask then you can't go into a shop to buy one without wearing a mask... not the worst catch-22 situation but still a pain.

Already has. It's a new form though; the shoulder sling fanny pack.
