No but you can apply online with AIB online and get approval in Principle and they give you a letter you can print yourself.

Or if like us, we were allowed apply on the basis that banks had refused us based on location.
Although they approved our initial mortgage application, they refused us on the final paperwork, post survey and solicitors based purely on location of the house.
So we were able to apply to our local council. Still waiting for it to be processed by underwriters though!

Your best bet is to get in touch with them I have heard that people get more luck if they keep at them.

Hey all,

I've tried looking but I can't seem to see any answers. On the RBIHL website, it states that the main applicant needs to be in continuous employment for 2 years. Is this strict?
We were hoping to go for this before the Help To Buy scheme runs out on the 31/12/2019. I will be the main applicant but it will be February 2020 when I will have reached 2 years of continuous employment.

Or does anyone know if you can apply for the HTB before it runs out and does the approval stay in place for a certain period of time?

Thanks.

So I messaged them about the continuous employment as my partner is changing jobs so basically you can go from one job to the next as long as the break between each position is no longer than 4 weeks.

Thanks for the quick reply. Looks like I'll have to wait. We went travelling for 6 months in 2017 and both left our jobs and only got employment in February 2018.
